Pakistan, July 25 -- Police have arrested the main suspect in the murder of a Rangers personnel in Karachi's Lyari area, officials confirmed on Friday.

According to DIG South Asad Raza, the suspect, identified as Sahil, was taken into custody after fleeing to Balochistan following the killing. Law enforcement agencies traced his whereabouts and carried out the arrest during a targeted operation.

The senior police officer said the suspect is the son of a police officer. Preliminary investigations indicate that the killing stemmed from a personal dispute rather than any militant or organized criminal motive.
