Pakistan, Sept. 7 -- Susan Sarandon says she is still losing major acting opportunities because of her public views. The Oscar winning actress talked about the issue during a press conference at the Venice Film Festival on Sunday.

She said some agencies are still telling people not to hire her.

"I've still had movies taken away recently because there are agencies that are telling people not to hire me still. But that's the power structure. I think within the people, certainly internationally, I feel welcome," she said.

Sarandon was at the festival for her new film The Echo Chamber where she plays a famous singer trying to make a comeback.
