Pakistan, June 18 -- The Supreme Court of Pakistan has approved a 100 per cent increase in the utility allowance for its employees, in a decision aimed at providing financial relief to staff amid rising utility costs.
According to official details, the approval was granted by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi, and the revised allowance structure will take effect from July 1, 2026.
Under the new policy, employees in Grades 1 to 6 will now receive Rs12,000 per month, doubling from the previous Rs6,000. Similarly, staff in Grades 7 to 10 will see their allowance increased from Rs8,000 to Rs16,000, while employees in Grades 11 to 15 will now receive Rs20,000 instead of Rs10,000.
