Pakistan, July 30 -- The family of Abhijeet Deepke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and a prominent student activist in India, has alleged that he received serious threats during a nationwide protest campaign over alleged examination irregularities.

Speaking to Indian news ANI, Deepke's father, Bhagwan Rao Deepke, claimed the family was threatened through a YouTube video during the 37-day protest held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. According to him, the video warned that if his son did not join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), those behind the message knew where his parents lived and would "deal with them."
