Pakistan, Sept. 8 -- The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) plans to extend gas supply to 261 villages and towns in five Sindh districts by FY2028-29, connecting communities located within a five kilometre radius of gas producing fields through a 684.91-kilometre pipeline network at a combined estimated cost of Rs 5.73 billion, according to official documents.

The four phase plan, covering FY2025-26 to FY2028-29, aims to provide gas connections to 8,914 prospective customers in areas around various producing fields in Sindh.

The fifth phase, scheduled for FY2025-26, covers the Kousar, Tangri and Gambat South fields in Matiari, Tando Mohammed Khan and Sanghar districts.
