Pakistan, Sept. 7 -- Sri Lankan pineapples were formally introduced in Pakistan on Sunday with a launch ceremony in Karachi, marking the start of commercial activities and a key step toward boosting Pak-Sri Lanka trade ties.

The event was attended by the Consul General of Sri Lanka, Sanjeeva Pattiwala, who addressed the gathering and stressed the need to further strengthen trade and economic relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The British Deputy High Commissioner, Tom Burge also participated and held discussions on matters of mutual interest and trade cooperation.
