Pakistan, Sept. 30 -- The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday said that the Special Tax Scheme for Small Shopkeepers is currently in its initial implementation stages, during which the Board is actively working to facilitate traders and address any practical or technical issues arising out of the registration process. The government and the FBR remain in continuous contact with traders, market representatives and trade bodies to ensure that the scheme is implemented in a smooth, transparent and trader-friendly manner, said a news release.

Feedback received from the business community is being duly considered, and efforts are underway to resolve genuine difficulties being faced by traders.
