Pakistan, July 3 -- South Korean President Lee Jae Myung will attend the NATO summit in Ankara on July 7 and 8. He aims to strengthen defence industry cooperation with NATO member countries and regional partners. The visit highlights Seoul's growing focus on security partnerships and defence exports amid rising geopolitical tensions.
National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac announced the visit during a press briefing on Friday. He said Lee would meet NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte during the summit. Additionally, the South Korean president will join a meeting with leaders from Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. Lee will also attend the NATO defence industry forum and deliver a speech during one of its sessions.
