Pakistan, Sept. 18 -- South Korean President Lee Jae Myung said Seoul will not deploy troops for military intervention in the US-Israeli war on Iran. Lee said South Korea would maintain its policy of non-involvement and non-intervention. He made the remarks during a press conference on Friday.

Lee said South Korea would not deploy troops or military assets in a way that could involve it in the conflict. His comments followed reports that Seoul was considering a possible deployment to the Strait of Hormuz. However, he said South Korea would only conduct minimum necessary activities to protect its merchant ships and oil routes.
