Pakistan, Aug. 28 -- South Korea has voiced support for US President Donald Trump's efforts to restart dialogue with North Korea. National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac said Seoul would actively support confidence-building steps between Washington and Pyongyang. He said South Korea wants both sides to resume talks and reduce tensions. The remarks came as efforts to reopen diplomatic channels gained attention.
Wi said any renewed negotiations should focus on making real progress on North Korea's nuclear weapons programme.
