Pakistan, June 24 -- Six suspected militants were killed during a joint operation carried out by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police in Lower Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, authorities said on Wednesday.

According to a CTD spokesperson, the operation targeted individuals allegedly involved in the recent attack on the Badwan Bridge Police Checkpost, which took place on June 18. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of a police constable and left three other officers injured.
