Pakistan, Sept. 24 -- Saudi Arabia said its air defenses intercepted and destroyed six ballistic missiles on Thursday. Coalition spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki said the missiles were launched by Houthi forces. He said the attack targeted Taif and Yanbu, including Yanbu's Red Sea port.
Al-Maliki said Saudi defenses successfully prevented the missiles from reaching their intended targets. He warned that further Houthi escalation would face a firm response. Authorities did not immediately report casualties or damage from the intercepted missiles.
