Pakistan, April 22 -- Pakistan has reported more than 2,000 HIV cases among children over the past 15 months, according to the federal health ministry. The figures highlight a growing public health concern, with Sindh emerging as the most affected province. The development raises urgent questions about prevention and healthcare response.
According to the Common Management Unit of the federal Ministry of Health, 2,108 children were diagnosed with HIV during the period. The affected group includes 1,274 boys and 834 girls. Officials said the data reflects nationwide surveillance across multiple regions.
