Pakistan, May 27 -- Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar has directed authorities to adopt extraordinary security measures at central mosques, imambargahs and open grounds for Eid al-Adha prayers across the province.

According to an official statement issued on Tuesday, the Sindh Home Minister also ordered stricter police patrolling on routes leading to and from cattle markets to ensure public safety during the Eid holidays.

He directed law enforcement agencies to coordinate comprehensive security arrangements at all designated sacrificial sites for the protection of citizens.

Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar further instructed police personnel to remain mindful of law-abiding citizens while performing their duties.
