Pakistan, Aug. 16 -- Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi took oath as the Chief Scout of Sindh. The Provincial Scout Commissioner Justice (Retd.) Hassan Feroze administered the oath to the Governor at a ceremony held in Karachi.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor Hashmi said scouting is an important means of instilling patriotism, discipline and a spirit of public service among young people.

He stressed the need to revive and promote scouting in schools and colleges across the province. He said that for the true development of nations, technology alone was not enough, adding that a strong ideology, discipline, knowledge and good character were equally essential.
