Pakistan, Sept. 6 -- Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, in his special message on the International Day of the World's Indigenous Women and Girls, on Saturday said that indigenous women and girls around the world were playing an important role in the development and prosperity of their societies.
The chief minister stressed the need to protect the rights of indigenous women and girls and provide them with equal opportunities. He said, "Indigenous women of Sindh have a long and commendable history of leadership and service." Murad further said that from Mai Bakhtawar to Benazir Bhutto, indigenous women of Sindh had remained symbols of resistance.
