Pakistan, Oct. 9 -- The Sindh Government has decided to partner with Education Management Organizations (EMOs) to improve the management and educational standards of 1,133 new and upgraded government schools across the province.

Consultations have been initiated with private-sector organisations and institutions with expertise in education to entrust them with the management of these schools, improvement of educational outcomes and achievement of defined performance targets. In this regard, Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah chaired an important meeting with representatives of Education Management Organisations, private school managements, NGOs, education-sector operators in Sindh and non-formal education organizations.
