Pakistan, Aug. 16 -- As Pakistan marked its 79th Independence Day anniversary on Friday, prominent showbiz stars across the Pakistani entertainment industry took to social media to mark the nation's special day with pride, warmth and patriotism.

Danish Taimoor acknowledged that the people get "frustrated, disappointed and sometimes even lose hope, but at the end of the day. this is home."
