Pakistan, Aug. 14 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan is now recognized as a strong, determined and dignified voice for peace. He made the remarks in his Independence Day message.

Shehbaz congratulated the nation on completing 79 years of independence. He paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and freedom movement leaders for their sacrifices.

The prime minister said Pakistan provides citizens freedom to live with dignity and uphold their religious and cultural values. He added that the Constitution and laws guarantee equal rights for all citizens.
