Pakistan, Aug. 21 -- Security forces killed 49 terrorists during intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, ISPR said Friday.

The military's media wing said the operations targeted terrorist networks and groups it described as foreign-sponsored elements.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 12 terrorists were killed during operations in Bannu, North Waziristan, Orakzai and Khyber districts.

ISPR said security forces recovered explosives, IED devices, weapons, ammunition and motorcycles during the operations. The recovered material was subsequently destroyed.

Meanwhile, 37 terrorists were killed during 10 intelligence-based operations across Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar and Panjgur districts.
