Pakistan, July 30 -- The State Bank of Pakistan is inviting researchers, academics and policymakers to submit original research papers for its National Conference on Economy set for December 18, 2026 at the SBP Auditorium in Karachi.

The one-day conference will focus on how Pakistan's policymaking must evolve to address new challenges. According to SBP, repeated global shocks have left commodities and energy markets unstable. Because Pakistan depends heavily on imported energy, these shocks have deepened economic vulnerabilities. Their sudden nature and heavy impact also threaten price stability.
