Pakistan, May 2 -- Saudi Arabia has set 15 as the minimum age for Haj pilgrims this year, enforcing the rule from May 3, 2026. The policy aims to regulate travel and ensure safety during the pilgrimage. Thousands of Pakistani families and young applicants are directly affected by the restriction.

Pakistan's Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed the directive in an official letter on Saturday. It stated that no flight to Saudi Arabia can carry pilgrims under 15 years old. The cutoff age applies as of May 27, 2026, corresponding to Zilhaj 9, 1447 AH. Authorities have instructed airlines and Haj organizers to implement the rule immediately.
