LAHORE, Sept. 1 -- The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to remove Sarfraz Ahmed and Umar Gul from Test team roles. Sources said the decision followed a meeting chaired by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in London. Sarfraz currently serves as head coach, while Umar Gul works as bowling coach. Both are expected to remain with the team for the third Test.

The two coaches will reportedly leave their positions after returning to Pakistan. Meanwhile, Mike Hesson is expected to lead the coaching staff during the Birmingham Test. He could also take charge of the Test team during upcoming home series. Pakistan will host Sri Lanka and New Zealand in those future series.
