Pakistan, Aug. 10 -- India have included middle-order batter Sarfaraz Khan as B Sai Sudharsan's replacement for their upcoming two-Test series against Sri Lanka. Sudharsan was ruled out after suffering a right toe stress reaction and continues his rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

The BCCI said Sudharsan has made significant progress during his recovery but will remain unavailable for the series. Sarfaraz, 28, last played a Test in 2024 and has represented India in six matches, scoring 371 runs at an average of 37.10, including one century and three fifties.

Sarfaraz also produced a strong domestic campaign for Mumbai during the 2025 Ranji Trophy, scoring 429 runs in seven matches at an average of 53.62. His ...
