Pakistan, Sept. 3 -- Saif Ali Khan was left surprised when Amitabh Bachchan revealed an unexpected family connection during KBC. The revelation came as Saif and Akshay Kumar appeared on the quiz show. They were promoting their upcoming crime thriller Haiwaan.

Bachchan told Saif that many people did not know about their family connection. Saif reacted with surprise before Bachchan explained how their families were connected. The revelation also surprised Akshay Kumar and the KBC audience.

The connection comes through marriages between members of the Kapoor and Bachchan families. Ritu Kapoor's son Nikhil Nanda is married to Bachchan's daughter Shweta Bachchan. Saif is married to Kareena Kapoor Khan, whose father is Randhir Kapoor.
