Pakistan, Sept. 3 -- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says Moscow will never chase Europe for sanctions relief. He said Russia does not need goodwill from European countries or any other group. Lavrov made the remarks during an event in Vladivostok. He said Russia remains confident in its national dignity and independence.

Speaking at a lecture during the Eastern Economic Forum, Lavrov blamed Europe for the current divide. He said Russia never built barriers against Europe or chose to isolate itself. According to Lavrov, the European Union made that decision itself. He rejected expectations that Moscow would return seeking better relations.
