Pakistan, June 10 -- Russia expressed deep concern over rising Middle East tensions and urged all sides to halt military strikes immediately. Moscow warned that further escalation could destabilise the region and threaten civilian safety. The appeal affects countries involved in the conflict and regional powers monitoring developments.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Moscow was extremely concerned about the latest escalation. She described the conflict as a result of what Russia called unprovoked US-Israeli actions against Iran.
