Pakistan, Oct. 22 -- Russia signaled willingness to resume direct peace negotiations with United States (US) and Ukraine to end hostilities. Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov made the statement following talks between President Vladimir Putin and U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff. Officials indicated that a new round of trilateral negotiations could take place around November 10 in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European allies have long urged Moscow to restart dialogue stalled since February.
