Pakistan, Oct. 23 -- Rupee on Thursday appreciated by 1 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs 276.85, compared to the previous day's closing of Rs 276.86. According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar's open-market buying and selling rates were Rs 277.50 and Rs 280.15, respectively. The price of the Euro went up by Rs 0.49, closing at Rs 311.14 against the previous day's rate of Rs 310.65, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese Yen rose by 1 paisa to Rs 1.76, and the British Pound rose by Rs 0.51 to Rs 371.21, up from Rs 370.70 the previous day. The exchange rate of the Emirate Dirham rose by 1 paisa to Rs 75.38, while the Saudi Riyal remained unchanged at Rs 73.80.
