Pakistan, May 30 -- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has thanked Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar for Pakistan's "constructive role" in diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran, as both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation across multiple fields including trade, investment, security and counter-terrorism.

The acknowledgement came during a bilateral meeting between the two leaders in Washington D.C., where they discussed the evolving regional and global situation and reviewed the positive trajectory of Pakistan-US relations.
