Pakistan, June 24 -- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reaffirmed Washington's commitment to the United Arab Emirates' security during talks with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Wednesday. The discussions focused on the recent US-Iran agreement, regional stability and maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz. The meeting comes as Gulf allies seek assurances over provisions of the accord negotiated with Tehran.

Rubio met the Emirati leader in Abu Dhabi during the first leg of a Gulf tour aimed at addressing regional concerns about the agreement.
