Pakistan, Sept. 21 -- Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has twice sought permission from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to speak publicly about the ongoing NCCIA inquiry. Sources said the board rejected both requests. Rizwan wanted to explain the investigation and the seizure of his mobile phone.

The cricketer also wanted to address allegations linked to the inquiry. He reportedly planned to explain his position and discuss a letter sent to the International Cricket Council (ICC). Rizwan sought permission under the terms of his central contract.
