Pakistan, Aug. 5 -- A new report claims the United States has used a large portion of its missile defence interceptors during the conflict with Iran. However, US officials have strongly denied concerns about depleted stockpiles.

According to CNN, nearly 80 percent of the interceptor missiles used by the THAAD air defence system have been consumed since the conflict began. The report cited two sources familiar with the matter. In addition, the report said the US has used nearly half of its Patriot interceptor missile inventory compared with pre-conflict levels.
