Pakistan, Aug. 30 -- The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and Chief Minister Sohail Afridi have been urged to facilitate the recovery of the body of renowned mountaineer Syed Ali Shah, who remains buried in the Falak Sar Glacier. The relatives of Syed Ali Shah, a mountain guide who died after falling into a gorge following a glacier burst in Matiltan area of Upper Swat's Kalam Valley in July 2026, have appealed to the KP government to undertake an operation to retrieve his body from the inaccessible mountainous terrain.
