Pakistan, April 24 -- The Power Division on Thursday issued a clarification regarding solar net metering, stating that licensing requirements fall under the jurisdiction of the regulator and are not mandated by the federal government. A spokesperson said that regulations for obtaining licenses from the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) already exist and are implemented independently by the regulatory authority. He added that power distribution companies (DISCOs) are bound to comply with these regulations as part of their operational framework.
