Pakistan, Sept. 4 -- Directing district authorities to gear up for potential urban flooding, Commissioner Rawalpindi Salman Ghani issued high-alert directives on Thursday to all municipal, administrative and emergency service departments across the division following the Meteorological Department's heavy rainfall forecast for September 4 and 5.

Pursuant to directives issued by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the commissioner instructed WASA, Rescue 1122, Civil Defence, the district administration, Municipal Corporation, Health Department and Traffic Police to maintain continuous field deployment and synchronized inter- communication.
