Pakistan, Sept. 8 -- Prime Minister's Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said old Punjab Assembly resolutions have lost their relevance. He was discussing proposals related to South Punjab and Bahawalpur.

Speaking in a television interview, Sanaullah said the resolutions were passed around 10 years ago. He said they could no longer be considered effective. According to him, an assembly can decide whether to revisit such matters. If a resolution remains unimplemented during an assembly's term, the next assembly can consider the issue again. Therefore, fresh parliamentary action would be needed for any progress on the proposals.
