Pakistan, July 28 -- Prime Minister's Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has urged all political parties to respect the public mandate after the first phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) general elections, saying the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) emerged as the leading party by winning nine of the 13 contested seats, while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) secured four seats. Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, he congratulated the successful candidates and expressed hope they would focus on resolving public issues and promoting development in their constituencies. He said the people's decision must be accepted as the foundation of democracy.
