Pakistan, Aug. 19 -- A roof collapse triggered by rainfall left two people dead and a 17-year-old girl injured in Madina Town, according to the district administration.

The incident occurred when a house roof gave way during rain, trapping members of a family under the debris.

Officials said the deceased were a husband and wife aged between 50 and 60 years. Both sustained serious injuries in the collapse and were rushed to a hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, they later died from their injuries.

A 17-year-old girl was also injured in the incident. Rescue teams shifted her to a hospital, where she is receiving treatment.
