Pakistan, Sept. 27 -- On the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan Railways has started transportation of diesel by rail to Pakistan State Oil (PSO) depots.

According to a Pakistan Railways spokesperson on Saturday, under the supervision of Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, a freight train carrying 750,000 litres of diesel from Rawalpindi has reached the Peshawar region.

Another freight train carrying one million litres of diesel from Mahmood Kot will reach the Peshawar region tonight, the spokesperson said.

The Minister for Railways has directed the administration to continue transportation of diesel on a daily basis to ensure timely supplies.
