Pakistan, Aug. 11 -- Railway authorities have suspended train services connecting Quetta with other provinces for one day because of the prevailing security situation. Officials said the temporary measure would remain in place until conditions improve.

The Jaffar Express scheduled to travel from Quetta to Peshawar will not depart on Tuesday, while the service travelling from Peshawar towards Quetta will stop at Jacobabad. Authorities have taken the decision as a precautionary security measure.

Railway officials said they are closely monitoring developments before deciding when normal operations can resume. The temporary suspension aims to protect passengers and railway staff while authorities assess the situation.
