Pakistan, Sept. 29 -- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has warned that regional oil exports could face disruption if Tehran is blocked from selling its crude. Speaking on Tuesday, Qalibaf said countries across the region could face similar restrictions. He urged the United States and other countries to consider the possible consequences of further pressure on Iran.

Qalibaf said Iran would respond to threats against its security and infrastructure. He also warned that energy facilities and other infrastructure could become targets if Iran's security remains under threat. His remarks came amid continuing tensions between Tehran and Washington over oil exports, sanctions and the Strait of Hormuz.
