Pakistan, Aug. 19 -- Punjab is set to roll out a massive Rs 1.9 trillion financing package for the private sector, including Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) next month, alongside a major shift from outright sale to lease-based provision of industrial land as part of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's drive to create a business environment focused on investment, industrial expansion and job creation.

This was stated by Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Global Investment Gateway Imran Khawar Siddiqui while addressing a function at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI).

He said that the chief minister herself would announce a comprehensive package of incentives for the private sector during the first week of September.
