Pakistan, Sept. 24 -- Punjab will introduce revised textbooks for Montessori to Grade 5 students from the new academic session in April 2027. The new curriculum aims to reduce textbook weight and move students away from rote learning.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved the curriculum during a meeting in Lahore. Officials reviewed subjects including English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Urdu and Early Childhood Care Education. Pectaa developed the curriculum before sending it to Cambridge International Education for assessment.
