Pakistan, Aug. 29 -- The Punjab government has approved hiring military personnel to monitor educational institutions across the province. The recruitment process has already started for Monitoring and Evaluation Officers. The move will initially cover 22 districts across Punjab.

Military personnel will work as Monitoring and Evaluation Officers under the Punjab Education Foundation. The positions will carry one-year contracts with a monthly salary of Rs60,000. Selected officers will also receive benefits and facilities under education department rules.
