Pakistan, July 4 -- Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari says demand for green electric buses is increasing across the province as the government prepares to expand the service. She announced plans to introduce electric buses in all 147 tehsils of Punjab. The expansion aims to improve affordable and environmentally friendly public transport for millions of commuters.

In a statement, Bukhari said residents from several cities have urged Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to extend the electric bus service to their areas. She added that the government is working to meet growing public demand through a province-wide expansion. According to the minister, the initiative has significantly improved Punjab's transport sector.
