Pakistan, Sept. 18 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed dissatisfaction with the 9th-grade examination results and decided to take action against teachers responsible for poor outcomes, as well as to introduce a new ordinance.
A briefing on school education was held during a video-link meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, where it was agreed to link students' exam results with teachers' performance. An agreement in principle was reached during the meeting to introduce monthly and annual examinations for every class, and directives were issued to present a comprehensive timeline and reform plan next week.
