Pakistan, Aug. 11 -- The Punjab government has decided against extending summer holidays, confirming that schools across the province will reopen on August 24 according to the previously announced academic schedule.

Secretary Schools Mudassar Riaz said authorities had made no decision to prolong the holidays and urged parents to ignore rumors circulating about another extension.

Meanwhile, the School Education Department has instructed public and private schools to complete essential preparations before students return. Administrations must ensure classrooms and school facilities are ready.
