Pakistan, May 1 -- The Punjab government has launched the Chief Minister Punjab Rehmat Card programme to provide financial assistance to widows and orphans across the province. The initiative aims to deliver direct support through a transparent and merit-based system designed to reduce economic hardship among vulnerable families.
Under the programme, approximately 50,000 eligible widows and orphans will each receive Rs100,000 in financial aid. The total allocation of Rs5,000 million has been set aside from the provincial Zakat fund to ensure timely and structured distribution of support.
