Pakistan, June 18 -- The Punjab government has introduced a Juvenile Permit facility that allows teenagers aged 16 to 18 years to legally ride motorcycles, marking a significant step toward promoting road safety and responsible driving among young people.
Launched under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the initiative enables eligible adolescents to obtain a permit before reaching the legal age required for a regular driving licence. Traffic authorities say the scheme is aimed at encouraging compliance with traffic laws while providing young riders with a regulated framework for motorcycle use.
